Calendar puts Mormons in sexy poses, aprons

Looking for the perfect stocking stuffer this Christmas?

A bunch of hot, Mormon moms have you covered, and they’ll help you bake muffins while they’re at it.

Shown here is the cover of the Mormon-mocking calendar (via http://www.inthisweek.com/).

The latest in a line of calendars taking jabs at the stereotypes of followers of the Mormon faith has debuted, and this one is called “Hot Mormon Muffins: A Taste of Motherhood.”

The calendar features 12 mothers in “vintage pinup picture poses,” according to an Associated Press report. Each woman claims to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints religious sect. Accompanying each image is a muffin recipe.

Mormons are known as being extremely conservative and promoting modesty, so these calendars, which accompany a series of calendars called “Men On A Mission” featuring Mormon men without their shirts on, caused some controversy.

The religious leaders didn’t like it, and Las Vegas entrepreneur Chad Hardy, who is a Mormon and created the calendars, was kicked out of the denomination and had his diploma from Brigham Young University taken away because the university is church-owned.

I think the calendar is funny. People shouldn’t take religious so seriously that they can’t laugh at 12 pictures of attractive women who are fully clothed, even if provocatively posed.

Besides, the proceeds from the calendar are going toward breast cancer research. How can Mormons be against that?

If you want to purchase the calendar visit www.hotmormonmuffins.com.

The calendars are listed as costing $15.95.

I’m putting this on my Christmas list. Hear that, Santa? I want some hot muffins in my stocking this year.
